Chef Rúben Ribeiro, born in Avintes - Vila Nova de Gaia, was born on April 4, 1986 at Maternidade Júlio Dinis - Porto.

From a very early age, he began to take his first steps in the kitchen at his parents' house, "I remember perfectly what was the first thing I cooked, I must have been about 7 years old and in an attempt to help my mother and get her work done, I decided taking a risk on my own and making rice, the experience did not go very well, what should have been tasty and loose rice turned into mush and was inedible, but even so, my mother ate it with a smile on her lips.” Coming from a family where culture and gastronomic customs are strongly rooted and his mother made and still insists on passing down the family recipes from generation to generation, so that the tradition is not lost. At the time they lived in the countryside, so chef Rúben had daily direct contact with fresh vegetables coming directly from the garden at home, fruits, flowers and even animals such as chickens, rabbits, sheep, goats, pigs and even cows. Soon there came the interest and curiosity to taste and try everything he harvested in the countryside, with the help of his father and grandfather.

Already in his teens and tired of school, one day he crossed the street and asked for a job at the restaurant across from the school, far from thinking that that decision would completely change his future, at the time he was attending secondary school in Oliveira do Douro , and the restaurant in question was La DolceItalia. Since then, he has never stopped evolving within gastronomy, having been a cook in several restaurants and hotels for 15 years until he donned the chef's jacket seven years ago. Throughout his journey as a cook, he always looked for the best restaurants and chefs to work together and learn as much as he could, as he had his focus and objectives very well defined, he wanted to grow and evolve more and more in the world of cooking and one day become a reference boss like many others he admires.

His last 12 years were spent in the Algarve, where he worked in some of the best 5-star hotels and resorts, he also worked with renowned chefs starred in the Michelin guide, even becoming sous-chef in one of them.

In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, he decided to take a risk and start his private chef project at home on his own and since then he has never stopped. Nowadays, chef Rúben Ribeiro and his services are a great reference and much sought after throughout the Algarve. Today, it already has a team that gives support and support in its services (cooks, waiters, barmen, decorators, musicians, etc.).

Chef Rúben Ribeiro is passionate about Portuguese cuisine with strong roots in the north of Portugal and this can be seen when we see him cooking and realize the enormous passion and dedication with which he treats and respects each product and each dish he presents us with.
